Olga Peters Seidel
Olga Peters Seidel, 97, of Hutchinson died March 20, 2004, at Mennonite Friendship Manor in South Hutchinson.
Born Sept. 15, 1906, in rural Hillsboro, she was the daughter of Jacob and Minnie (Golbek) Peters.
On Jan. 16, 1961, she married Gustave J. Seidel in Hutchinson. He died on Jan. 17, 1980.
She attended school in Dinuba, Calif., and Walleck School in Marion County. She was a longtime Hutchinson resident.
During World War II, she was a nurse in Little Rock, Ark. She worked at Central Supply at the former Grace Hospital and worked for many years for the Dr. Brownlee family.
She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hutchinson and Keenagers.
She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Arthur and Jacob Peters; stepson, Bill Seidel; and sisters, Lucille Austin and Bertha Kliewer.
Survivors include stepchildren, Ralph Seidel of Pratt, Leo Seidel of Springdale, Ark., Alma Allynn and Lillian Knop, both of Denver, Colo.; brother, Raymond Peters of Hutchinson; sister, Esther Unruh of Goessel; and 14 nephews and nieces.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hutchinson with Rev. Thomas B. Mendenhall officiating. Burial was at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Cemetery.
Memorials have been established at Mennonite Friendship Manor and Our Redeemer Lutheran Church Keenagers.
