Orlando Voth

Orlando W. Voth, 90, Goessel, died Oct. 13, 2006, at Newton Medical Center.

Born June 16, 1916, at Goessel, he was the son of Peter J. and Susie (Schmidt) Voth. He was a mechanic.

On May 26, 1956, he married Virginia Casey at Newton. The couple resided in Goessel.

He was a member of Tabor Mennonite Church, Flatlander Model T Club, Wichita Model A Club, Early V-8 Club, and Sunflower Model T Club.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Haile, sister, Amanda Voth, and brothers, Melvin and Ray.

Survivors include his wife of the home; four sons, Robert Blackmore, Newton, Wesley Voth, Wichita, Galen Voth, Oklahoma City, Okla., Brian Voth, Newton; two daughters, Janice Winter, Wichita, and Linda Schill, Paola; three brothers, L.M. "Bud" Voth, Wichita, Clayton Voth, Warner Robins, Ga., Bert Voth, Kansas City; four sisters, Myrtle Mohn, Hillsboro, Ruby Funk, Newton, Maxine Bolte, Lompoc, Calif., Lillian and Bill Brady, Clearwater; 19 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Services were at 10 a.m. today, Oct. 18, at Tabor Mennonite Church, rural Goessel, Pastors Corey Miller and Karen Andres officiated. Burial was at Tabor Mennonite Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethesda Home or the church.
