Orrin Berg
Orrin D. Berg, 73, of Keizer, Ore., died July 19, 2003.
He was born Jan. 1, 1930, in Hillsboro and grew up in Kansas, California, Tennessee and Nebraska. He was a graduate of Tabor College, Emporia State University and Central Baptist Seminary, all in Kansas, and received his Ph.D. from the University of Denver in Colorado.
He was head of the psychology department at Fresno Pacific University in Fresno, Calif., for 27 years. In 1994, he and his wife moved to Keizer where he was active in Salem Mennonite Church.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Ruby; son and daughter-in-law, Don and Jennifer Reimer-Berg; daughter, Jeannie Berg; brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Susan Berg; and grandchildren, Andrew, Ruth and Jonathan Reimer-Berg.
A memorial service was held today at Salem Mennonite Church in Salem, Oregon. Memorials have been established with the Orrin Berg Memorial Scholarship fund at Fresno Pacific University in Fresno or the Mennonite Central Committee.
