Parkside Homes is celebrating National Older Americans' Month with a wide range of activities during the month of May that the community is invited to attend.
At 7:30 p.m. on May 18, there will be a program given by the Morning Star Ladies. At 7:30 p.m. on May 25, there will be a program featuring The Gospel Messengers.
Parkside invites you and your family to Celebrate Hillsboro's 120th birthday with a party on May 27. Please join us at 7 p.m. for ice cream and birthday cake. The Band of "Ahs" from Herington will provide the program starting at 7:30 p.m. Children be sure to come and meet Coco the monkey and get a treat.
On May 5, Parkside Elders enjoyed a Cinco De Mayo Mexican lunch prepared by none other than the well known Parkside Chefs. The lunch was served on brightly colored table cloths with table decorations of Mexican baskets and pottery. We were treated to home made salsa in two delicious varieties created by Chef Shirley. What a Fiesta it was OLE!
Fashions by Nancy our spring Women's Tea and fashion show was well attended by Parkside elders and their family and friends. The ladies enjoyed a variety of delicious baked treats along with a glass of chilled raspberry tea garnished with fresh lemon as they viewed the many lovely fashions provided by Nancy's our local Hillsboro dress shop.
