Parkside Homes: A Hall hosts social

Monday, the Parkside rhythm band met to play songs from the past. In the evening, the A Hall household and their families enjoyed a "front porch" social. The families brought delicious desserts, and we sampled the desserts and had a good time visiting and listening to poetry about getting older, read by Kaethe Warkentin, Erna Harms, Lillian Plett, and Ben Ewert.

The winners of the domino games played Tuesday afternoon were Ben Wiens, Art Wiebe, Kaethe Warkentin, and Esther Ollenburger. Cookies and coffee were served for refreshments.

Pastor Roy Keller led the Bible class Wednesday afternoon. Chocolate ice cream was served after the class.

Helen Schmidt was in charge of the Thursday activities. Carla Koslowsky played the piano for hymn sing. We enjoyed seeing the video, "A trip to bountiful." The Morning Star Church brought the evening program.

Bingo games called by Mariann Unruh were played by a room full of residents Friday afternoon. The winner of the blackout game was Ben Ewert. Bananas were given to all the bingo participants.

Afternoon popcorn was served on Saturday. Trinity Mennonite Church brought the Sunday worship service. Today, will have a women's tea for women of Parkside and their friends and family. Janice Porter will present Grandma Moses. If you would like to join us call Peggy at 947-2301.
