By PEGGY BRANDT

Coco the Monkey was a surprise visitor Monday morning and was enjoyed by a number of residents participating in the Genesis Club. Monday afternoon, the Parkside rhythm band enjoyed playing tunes from the past.

Tuesday, the domino groups gathered around the tables for an afternoon of games and a snack of cookies and coffee. The Tuesday evening music program was called off due to the weather.

Gaylord Goertzen taught the Wednesday Bible study, speaking on the "the Two Faces of Fire," the fire of faith and the fire of temptation. Chocolate ice cream was served after the Bible class.

Carla Koslowsky played piano for the hymn sing before lunch. The afternoon activity was "Mennonite Cooking with Peggy" featuring Russian pancakes. Residents were served pancakes with an assortment of fillings.

Bingo games called by Mariann Unruh were played by a room full of residents in the afternoon. Bananas were given to all the bingo participants.

Afternoon popcorn was served on Saturday. On Sunday morning, the Kliewers taught the Sunday school class. The First Baptist Church brought the afternoon worship service.
