This has been an especially busy week for us at Parkside. The staff is trying to learn new procedures yet keep giving the person centered care we are known for.

Tuesday evening Rafael Noreiga presented a quiet time of praise with voice and guitar. After the program the Park Home One and Two enjoyed a social time serving the fresh cookies they had baked that afternoon.

Wednesday we caught up on the local news around Hillsboro and surrounding areas while we ate fresh fried donut holes. We had ice cream in the afternoon after our weekly Bible class.

Thursday morning we had our second corn shucking party out on the patios of the Park Homes.

We use to award a "worm award" to the person that found the first worm in the corn. The past five years the corn has not had a single worm, but this year Madelyn Vogel was lucky, and found one worm so she gets the award. Good going Madelyn. We sure enjoyed eating that fresh corn for dinner.

Thursday afternoon we all gathered and played a word game; our brains got a good work out.

Friday was the weekly bingo games. Everyone enjoyed getting a banana after the games. Bingo continues to be a favorite at Parkside if you would like to play with us please join us at 3 p.m. Friday.

Park Homes One & Two each had a open house so they could show their home to others, they served cookies and socialized with the guests.
