Parkside Homes: Dan Foth celebrates 94th birthday years ago

The Surviving the Dust Bowl video was shown Monday afternoon, and a time of discussion and memories was enjoyed with a snack.
Care plans were Tuesday morning. LeOra Grunau gave a morning organ concert. Kaethe Warkentin, Eva Tessman, Frank Peters and jack Price were the winners of the domino games played with volunteers. The Ambassador Quartet gave the evening program.
Donuts and coffee were served out on the patio Wednesday morning. Curtis Wiens taught the Wednesday afternoon Bible Class. Chocolate was the ice cream day flavor.
Carla Koslowsky played the piano for the morning hymn sing. Mabel Suderman gave a short devotional. Shirley and Katie Baltzer gave a concert on piano and organ thursday afternoon.
The weekend quiz was handed out in the afternoon. Bertha Schultz, Ida Frantz and Ben Ewert were the blackout winners of the bingo games called by Mariann Unruh. After bingo, the family of Dan Foth served cake and ice cream to celebrate Dan's 94th birthday.
Popcorn was served Saturday afternoon. On Sunday morning, Kaethe Warkentin continued a study on I Corinthians during the weekly Sunday school lesson. The United Methodist Church was in charge of the afternoon worship service with Fran Rempel serving as hostess.
Exercises and kaffee haus were daily, and the week's topic of the Genesis Club was garden foods. The Read the Bible Through in 2002 group is reading the book of Proverbs this week.
