Dr. Herb Friesen brought us news from his trip to Afghanistan Monday afternoon.

Care plans were Tuesday morning. Bertha Schultz, Kaethe Warkentin and Dave Classen were the winners of the dominoes games played with volunteers. LeOra Grunau brought the morning organ concert.

John Ratzlaff led the Wednesday Bible class. Vanilla was the Ice Cream Day flavor.

Carla Koslowsky played the piano for the Thursday morning hymn sing. Mabel Suderman gave the devotional. A birthday party was held Thursday afternoon for Earl Remmers, Helma Kroeker, Elma Fisher, and Hattie Conner. Cathy Fish and her son brought us stories from the Hillsboro Library. Beverly Harms helped serve cake and coffee. Celia Gross brought the afternoon organ concert.

The weekend quiz was given out on Friday. Hattie Conner's family treated residents and staff to cake and ice cream to celebrate Hattie's birthday. Helen Masterson was the blackout winner of the bingo games called by Mariann Unruh and helper Mabel Klassen.

Popcorn was served Saturday afternoon. On Sunday morning, Kaethe Warkentin began a study on I Corinthians during the weekly Sunday school lesson. John Ratzlaff was in charge of the afternoon worship service with Trista Hanley serving as hostess.

Exercises and Kaffee Haus were daily, and the week's topic of the Genesis Club was wheat. The Read the Bible Through in 2002 group is reading in the book of Psalms this week.
