Hillsboro Middle School students joined the residents Monday to bake peppernuts. Carla Koslowsky provided the dough, and everyone enjoyed cutting and caking and, yes, eating which was a very popular part of the activity.
Care plans were Tuesday morning. Residents played a number of domino games with volunteers in the afternoon. The Gospel Messengers brought the evening program.
John Ratzlaff led the Wednesday Bible class, and many took part in a Thanksgiving communion service. Chocolate ice cream was served after Bible class.
On Thanksgiving Day the Parkside family enjoyed a delicious traditional Thanksgiving dinner and a little music. Everyone enjoyed eating together in one room.
Maryann Unruh called the Friday bingo games. The weekend quiz was handed out Friday afternoon. Marie Wiens' family hosted a birthday party after bingo to celebrate her 90th birthday.
Saturday afternoon popcorn was served. Glen and Susie Kliewer led the Sunday school class. Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church gave the Sunday afternoon worship service.
Exercises with Teresa and Kaffee Haus were daily. The Read the Bible through in 2002 group is reading the last part of the New Testament this month.
