Parkside Homes: Men s pancake feed held Saturday

Saturday morning Parkside held its first men's pancake feed. Pancakes specially made by Shirley Hein were served to all the men of Parkside and their invited guests. Theater popcorn was served Saturday afternoon.
Monday Parkside's residents gathered to play in a rhythm band. The band played along to the rhythm of songs from the past and old time favorite gospel songs.
Tuesday afternoon the Parkside dominoes group played a number of games. Dave Classen and Ike Thiessen were the high scorers. Rosemary Freeman shared her delicious fresh-baked banana bread. Orientation was held for those special young people who wish to make a difference this summer by volunteering at Parkside.
Wednesday the weekly Bible class began with a special memorial moment time for Ida Frantz. Roy Keller gave a devotional. Chocolate ice cream was served after the class.
Thursday Carla Koslowsky played piano for the weekly hymn sing. Games were played in the afternoon.
The bingo games were called Friday afternoon by Mariann Unruh. Each player received a banana for participating. The blackout winner was Kaethe Warkentin. The weekend trivia paper was delivered to all residents.
Gene Magnuson taught the morning Sunday school class. LeOra Grunau brought a special musical program for Father's Day at 3 p.m.
