Parkside Homes: Residents add happy hour to schedule

We now are enjoying "happy hour" each afternoon from 4 to 5. It is a time of sharing, singing, and enjoying music.
Hillsboro United Methodist Church started our week off with Sunday afternoon worship service.
Some of the men enjoyed an old-fashioned shoeshine, shave, or haircut Monday in our barber shop. Residents enjoyed the video "Heidi" in the afternoon.
Dave Clark had a music appreciation group Tuesday morning after breakfast. The daily book club met at 2 p.m. and domino players were invited to afternoon games and a snack.
We again enjoyed fresh donut holes and coffee Wednesday as the newspaper was read. Pastor Dave Fast brought a devotional, complete with drawings. Chocolate ice cream was served.
A traditional hymn-sing before lunch Thursday was enjoyed. Hillsboro Middle School students played word games in the afternoon with us. Celia Gross played the organ before supper.
Bingo was played Friday with Mariann assisting.
We encourage families, guests, and others to visit Saturday afternoons. Bring a game, children, or something you would be willing to share with others.
