Monday the Parkside residents saw a Gaither video, "God Bless America."
The winners of the domino games played Tuesday afternoon were Mabel Klassen, Ben Ewert and Walter Meljo. Cookies and root beer were served for refreshments. Raphael Noreiga brought an evening of guitar music.
A number of residents met before lunch Wednesday to review the local news. John Savoia led the Bible class Wednesday afternoon. Vanilla ice cream was served after the class.
The 4th of July picnic was enjoyed by Parkside residents on Thursday, July 3. We enjoyed grilled hot dogs, baked beans, potato salad, watermelon and dessert. The grill chef for the day was Glenn Thiessen. A sing-a-long of patriotic songs was sung after the meal.
The Friday bingo games were called by Maryann Unruh. Everyone got a banana for participating.
The Sunday worship service was brought by First Mennonite Church.
