Monday afternoon, the residents joined together in a rhythm band. They all had fun playing along with old love songs.

Tuesday, the domino groups gathered around the tables for an afternoon of games and a snack of cookies and coffee.

John Savoia began a series on the stories behind some of our favorite old hymns. Chocolate ice cream was severed after class.

Carla Koslowsky played piano for the hymn sing before lunch. We were entertained by Spirit and Celebration in the afternoon. They sang a selection of songs to celebrate Valentine's Day.

The Valentine candlelight supper was held for all residents Thursday evening. The guests were treated to elegantly decorated tables that sparkled in the candlelight. The menu included taco salad in a baked shell, fresh baked rolls, and an ice cream dessert with just baked cookies.

Guests were presented a skit by staff members dressed for their parts. Rafael Noriega brought us a selection of love songs as he played his guitar. The bulletin board outside the dining area was decorated with the pictures of all of the Parkside couples. This was a popular place after the supper.

Bingo games called by Mariann Unruh were played by a room full of residents in the afternoon. Bananas were given to all the bingo participants.

Afternoon popcorn was served on Saturday. On Sunday morning, the Kliewer's taught the Sunday school class. The Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church gave the afternoon worship service.
