The Hillsboro Middle School students came Monday afternoon to play games and reminisce about the past with Parkside's students.

Care plans were Tuesday morning. LeOra Grunau gave a morning organ concert. Kaethe Warkentin and Frank Peters were the winners of the domino games played with volunteers. Rafael Noregia lifted our spirits with his soothing guitar and quiet voice, singing hymns from the past.

A memorial service was held for Harry Pankratz Wednesday afternoon. Ken Peterson spoke at the Wednesday Bible class. The ice cream day flavor was vanilla. Celia Gross brought the afternoon organ concert.

Peggy Brandt led the Thursday morning hymn sing with Carla Koslowsky accompanying at the piano. Mabel Suderman gave the devotional with Tammy Heidel helping her in song. In the afternoon the video, "A Man Called Harold," was shown with treats of kettle corn and soda served during the video.

Smiles were brought to everyone at Parkside with the celebration of Frolic Friday. Twice during the day everyone stopped and blew all their troubles into a balloon and then let it go and watched the balloons fly wildly around. Smile suckers were treats for everyone. The weekend quiz was handed out Friday afternoon. Sarah Gaede was the blackout winner of the bingo games played Friday afternoon. Everyone was treated to pigskins for treats during bingo.

Saturday afternoon popcorn was served. On Sunday at 9:30 a.m., Glen and Susie Kliewer began teaching a new Sunday school class for residents. The First Mennonite Church brought the afternoon worship service.

Exercises and Kaffee Haus were daily. The Read the Bible through in 2002 group began reading the New Testament this week.
