Parkside Homes: Residents enjoy German program

Residents and staff participated in a prayer service Monday afternoon.
Care plans were Tuesday morning. Merlie Friesen, Eva Tessman, Frank Peters and Ben Ewert were the winners of the domino games played with volunteers in the afternoon. Rafael Noregia lifted our spirits with his soothing guitar and quiet voice, singing hymns from the past, in the evening.
John Ratzlaff led the Wednesday Bible class. The ice cream day flavor was vanilla.
Residents enjoyed a Plautdietsch en prograum complete with pluma moos, Thursday afternoon. George Ens and Vida Bartel brought German music and Kaethe Warkentin shared stories and quips of German wisdom.
Friday noon, the residents enjoyed a meal from McDonalds. Elsie Nickel was the blackout winner of the bingo games played with volunteers. The weekend quiz was handed out Friday afternoon.
Saturday afternoon popcorn was served. Glen and Susie Kliewer taught the Sunday School Class. Trinity Mennonite brought the Sunday worship service.
Exercises with Teresa and kaffee haus were daily. The Read the Bible through in 2002 group completed John this week.
