Parkside Homes: Residents enjoy island afternoon

Monday, Parkside residents gathered for a resident council meeting. The new dining system was discussed.

Frank Peters, Harry Thye, and Cora Meljo were the winners of the domino games played Tuesday afternoon. Refreshments were served.

Bob Fenstermacher led the Bible class on Wednesday afternoon, speaking on First Chronicles. Vanilla ice cream was served after the class.

Carla Koslowsky played the piano for the hymn sing on Thursday morning. Peggy Brandt's grandchildren gave a little program.

Residents enjoyed an island afternoon on Thursday. There were many decorations and a large island buffet table with flowers, a large fruit kabob center piece and pineapple sherbet topped with island umbrellas. Dr. George Ens played Hawaiian music.

Morning Star Church gave an inspirational music program Thursday evening.

Friday's bingo games were called by Maryann Unruh. All players received a banana for participating. Merley Friesen was the blackout winner. The weekend quiz was delivered.

Theater popped corn was served Saturday afternoon, and David Hunter brought the Sunday afternoon service.
