Parkside Homes: Residents hear stories from Chicken Soup books

Monday afternoon Parkside residents gathered to hear stories from the Chicken Soup books read by Vida Bartel.
Tuesday afternoon the Parkside dominoes group played a number of games. Ike Thiessen, Rosalie Suderman, and Kaethe Warkentin were the high scorers. Coffee and Cookies were served during the games.
The weekly Bible class was taught by Clint Seibel. Chocolate ice cream was served after the class.
Thursday Carla Koslowsky played piano for the weekly hymn sing. Residents watched video of the Marion County Fair. Parkside's Fair Supper was served at 6 p.m. and Morning Star Church brought the evening program.
The bingo games were called on Friday afternoon by Mariann Unruh. Each player received a banana for participating. The black-out winner was Kaethe Warkentin. The weekend trivia paper was delivered to all residents.
Theater pop corn was served Saturday afternoon. Gene Magnuson taught the morning Sunday school class. Trinity Mennonite Church was in charge of the afternoon worship service.
