Parkside Homes: Residents participate in activities

Parkside residents watched "A Little House on the Prairie" video Monday afternoon and talked about prairie life.

The Parkside dominoes group played games Tuesday afternoon. Ike Thiessen and Frank Peters were high scorers. Fresh banana bread was served during the game. Raphael Noriega brought the evening program.

We had sensory groups and craft groups Wednesday morning and a number of residents enjoyed relaxing in the music chair and visiting in small groups. Pastor Fensermacher brought the afternoon Bible class. Chocolate ice cream was served.

Carla Koslowsky played piano Thursday for the weekly hymn sing. Residents were invited to enjoy a variety of music and activities in other areas within the building.

The men had a pie social and enjoyed a lively discussion.

Pluma Mousse was the afternoon attraction. Many compare the mousse to what their mothers made.

The Morningstar Church brought the evening program.

Bingo games were called Friday afternoon by Mariann Unruh. Each player received a banana for participating. The blackout winner was Ella Wiebe.

The weekend trivia paper was delivered to all residents.

Carol Unruh shared her new puppy, Munchkin, with us.

Theater popcorn was served Saturday afternoon.

Gene Magnuson taught the morning Sunday school class. The First Baptist Church was in charge of the afternoon worship service.
