Parkside Homes: Rhythm band plays patriotic tunes

The Monday Rhythm Band reviewed the history of patriotic songs as they played a variety of the old tunes.
Evelyn Koop, Erna Harms, Jo Thye and Ben Ewert were the winners of the domino games played Tuesday afternoon. Home made cookies and drink were served for refreshments.
The Wednesday news review was held before lunch. John Savoia led the afternoon Bible class, speaking from Chuck Colson's book "Loving God." Chocolate ice cream was served.
Helen Schmidt and Karla Koslowsky led the hymn sing Thursday morning. Mitch Miller's barbershop quartets sang songs of America in the afternoon via video. The Morning Star Church gave the evening program.
The Friday bingo games were called by Maryann Unruh. All players received a banana for participating. Fern Unruh was the blackout winner.
Theater popped corn was served Saturday afternoon, and the First Southern Baptist Church gave the Sunday worship service.
