Parkside Homes: Volunteer tea held

Monday the Parkside residents saw a video titled "Seasons of America."
Monday evening the C Hall household and their families enjoyed a front-porch social. The families brought delicious desserts. We sampled the desserts and had a good time visiting and listening to poetry about getting older.
The winners of the domino games played Tuesday afternoon were Kaethe Warkentin, Cora Meljo, Frank Peters, and Dave Classen. Cookies and coffee were served for refreshments. The "Band of Ahs" from Herington brought the evening program.
A number of residents met before lunch Wednesday to review the local news. Pastor Roy Keller led the Bible class Wednesday afternoon. Chocolate ice cream was served after the class.
Carla Koslowsky played piano for the Thursday hymn sing. Warkentin won the prize for sitting in the "special" chair for the hymn sing.
The annual volunteer tea, "Bloom where you are planted," was held Thursday afternoon in the Oscar Hett room. The Baker Country Gospel Band entertained guests and residents with lots of great music.
Bingo games called by Mariann Unruh were played by a room full of residents Friday afternoon. The winner of the blackout game was Meljo. Bananas were given to all the bingo participants.
Afternoon popcorn was served on Saturday. The Mark Four group brought the afternoon worship service.
