Morning Star youth sing at Parkside
The Parkside Rhythm Band gathered and enjoyed playing songs from the past as Vida Bartel played the piano and Helen Schmidt directed the band.
Dave Classen, Frank Peters, and Goldie Funk were the winners of the domino games played on Tuesday afternoon. A ladies group from the Morning Star Church gave the evening program.
Pastor Roy Keller spoke from Proverbs 8 at the Wednesday Bible class. His topic was "Blessed are those Who Listen, Wait, and Watch." Vanilla ice cream was served for ice cream day.
Thursday afternoon, Cathy Fish, Hillsboro librarian, read stories from the past to a group of residents. Refreshments were served after the stories. Twenty youth from the Morning Star Church sang at the evening program.
The Friday afternoon bingo games were called by Maryann Unruh. Irma Ens was the black out winner. All players received a banana for participating. The scarecrow weekend quiz was delivered.
Theater popcorn was served Saturday afternoon. Tim Sullivan and youth singers and their parents from Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church were in charge of the Sunday afternoon service.
