Parkside residents gathered around the television to watch Lynn and Elva Penner's anniversary video with family pictures. Popcorn and root beer sodas were enjoyed during the discussion after the video.
Merle Friesen, Kaethe Warkentin, Frank Peters, Jo and Harry Thye were the winners of the domino games played Tuesday afternoon. A macaw speaking hello to those who passed by and a domestic rabbit were the highlights of the pet parade. The Herington Trio brought the evening service.
Pastor Roy Keller spoke from Proverbs 15:6-8, 29, about the prayer of the righteous, at the Wednesday Bible class. The ice cream day flavor was chocolate.
Thursday afternoon, the Hillsboro Middle School group came to give the program for the October birthday party. They had games and a huge paper pumpkin crossword puzzle for all to help solve. Birthday cake was served after singing Happy Birthday to the eight residents that have October birthdays.
The Friday bingo games were called by Mariann Unruh. Herb Unruh and Rosalie Suderman were the blackout winners. All players received a banana for participating. The pumpkin weekend quiz was delivered.
Theater popcorn was served for Saturday's afternoon popcorn. The United Methodist Church in Hillsboro brought the Sunday afternoon worship service.
