PBHS forensics team competes at Council Grove

Peabody-Burns High School forensics team competed Saturday at the Council Grove Invitational Forensics Tournament.

Team members who received medals were Ruth McLeod, fourth in serious solo acting; Alex Holm-McDowell, sixth in improvised duet acting.

Others indiviudal placers at the tournament were Anna Zappone, seventh in humorous solo acting; Rebecca Morris, eighth in serious solo acting; Anna Zappone and Oliver Whitney, ninth in improvised duet acting; and Ethan Riggs, 13th out of 39 entries in prose interpretation.

Other competitors from PBHS were Becky Morris and Jessica Rosine, improvised duet acting; Tabitha Carrell and Grant Buller, prose interpretation; and Charlie Rippe and Hollee Reynolds, humorous solo acting.

Overall the team placed eighth out of 15 schools. The 15 competing schools in the invitational were: Rock Creek, Marion, Silver Lake, Berean Academy, Rossville, Osage City, Hillsboro, Wabaunsee, Mission Valley, Centre, Northern Heights, Chase County, Eureka, and White City.

The next tournament will be held Thursday at Marion.
