Pensabene, Alania wed

Nicole Pensabene and George Alamia were married Aug. 1, 2003, at Port Jefferson, New York, at the Infant Jesus Catholic Church with Father John Worthley officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Paul and Patti (Thies) Pensabene of Holbrook, N.Y., and the granddaughter of Peggy Thies of Salina, formerly of Hillsboro. The groom's parents are Ignazio and Nancy Alamia of Holbrook, N.Y.

The bride wore an off-shoulder gown of satin brocade with seed pearls and crystals. Her veil of silk netting was tipped with satin and flowed from a tiara head piece of rhinestones and pearls. She wore a single strand of pearls borrowed from her mother. Her bouquet was a nosegay of white and ivory pink-tipped roses stephotis.

The matron of honor was Angela Prichard, sister of the bride, of Brooklyn, N.Y. The bridesmaids were Connie Alamia, sister of the groom, Danielle Neimeth, Laura Balsamo both of Holbrook, N.Y., Joanna Brazier of Huntington, N.Y., and Jennifer Trojello of Port Jefferson, N.Y.

The best man was David Alamia, brother of the groom, of Holbrook, N.Y. Groomsmen were Stevan Alamia, brother of the groom, of Florida, Stephen Cartolano, Robert Prichard, Thomas Buttacavoli, and Joseph Barrett.

The reception was held after the ceremony at Hamlet Wind Watch Golf and Country Club in Hauppauge, N.Y.

The bride is an elementary school teacher at Copiage Long Island, N.Y. The groom is a physical education teacher and coach at Smithtown Elementary Schools.

After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple is at home in Port Jefferson, N.Y.
