Pete Koslowsky
Pete L. Koslowsky, 85, died April 22, 2008, at Parkside Homes, Hillsboro.
Born Nov. 8, 1922, near Peabody, he was the son of Martin and Mary (Lohrenz) Koslowsky.
He worked for the City of Hillsboro. He was a member of Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church, Hillsboro.
On June 9, 1946, he married Vera Carr at Garnett. She died in 1992.
On Aug. 7, 1994, he married Leona Ratzlaff at Hillsboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife; infant son, Daniel Wayne; and stepdaughter, Kay Bartel.
Survivors include his wife, Leona of Hillsboro; three sons, Ken and Carla Koslowsky and Tom and Laurie Koslowsky, all of Hillsboro, and Mel and Donna Koslowsky of Casper, Wyo.; stepson, Don and Gayla Ratzlaff of Hillsboro; two daughters, Janice and Harry Willems of Wichita and Myrna and Walt Jost of Olathe; two stepdaughters, Aleen Ratzlaff of Hillsboro and Jone and Jeff Lee of Olathe; brother, Jake Koslowsky of Newton; sister, Mary Seibel of Hillsboro; seven grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Friday morning at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church with Pastor Roy Keller and Pastor Steve Schroeder officiating.
Burial was in Gnadenau Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.
Memorial funds have been established with the Hillsboro Fire Department or MCC meat canning project.
