Peters, Nickel wed at Alexanderwohl

Yvette Peters and Kevin Nickel both of Goessel were married June 13, 2003, at Alexanderwohl Church. Rev. Corey Miller of Tabor Mennonite Church and Pastors Mark Wiens and Nita Wilson from Alexanderwohl Church officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Delbert and Janine Peters of Goessel. The groom's parents are Elton and Denise Nickel of Goessel.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white embroidered Italian satin gown with jeweled spaghetti straps on top of an embroidered and jeweled bodice. The fit and flare skirt was embroidered just above the hem and had a Tiffany length train. She carried a cascading nosegay bouquet made of peach and white roses, lavender daises, alstroemeria, and freesia.

Matron of honor was Sara Hiebert of Goessel. Bridesmaids were Brandy Ashley of Goessel and Julia Washburn of Wichita.

Best man was Kenton Nickel of Goessel. Groomsmen were Russell Adrian of Butterfield, Minn., and Ben Patton of Hillsboro.

Ushers were Kent Peters of Goessel, Aaron Banman of New York, N.Y., Kyle Funk of Goessel, and Jeremy Hora of Iowa.

Karen Patton of Hillsboro and Laura Voth of Goessel were in charge of the guest book. Eunice Voth, Darla Funk, Monica Voth, and Abby Schrag were in charge of the gifts.

Musicians were Jason Peters of Hesston, vocalist and organist; Renae Peters of Hesston, pianist; Pamela Abrahams of LaJaro, Colo., pianist; and Patrick Flaming of Newton, Brett Klingenberg of Peabody and Chad Unrau of Goessel, vocalists; and Andrea Nickel, pianist; Bethany Nickel, flute; Breanna Nickel, violin, all of Windsor, Colo.

A reception, hosted by Royce and Jennifer Flaming and Keith and Barb Banman, all of Goessel, was held in the fellowship hall.

Reception attendants were Danielle Billings, Jacey Boese, Kira Kindall, Mindy Pfannenstiel, Tina Schmidt, Leslie Schroeder, Mandy Voth, Danae Wiens, Lori Finkner, Kara Stucky, and Rod and Linda Peters.

After a honeymoon trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple is at home in Norman, Okla.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Goessel High School and a 2003 graduate of Bethel College. She is employed at Banc First in Norman, Okla.

The groom is a 1999 graduate of Goessel High School and a 2003 graduate of Tabor College. He is a graduate student at the University of Oklahoma.
