Phyllis Funk
Phyllis Funk, 79, Newton, died May 4, 2008, at Wichita.
Born Feb. 12, 1929, she was the daughter of John and Maria (Kline) Hanneman.
She was a graduate of Tabor College, Hillsboro. She retired after 31 years at the Harvey County Extension office and also worked as a bookkeeper for First National Bank and Eastgate Lanes, Newton.
Survivors include her husband, Robert of Newton; three sons, Jon Funk of Manhattan, Lyle Funk of Dayton, Ohio, and Mike Funk of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday morning at Trinity Heights United Methodist Church.
Burial was in Haven of Rest Cemetery, Hillsboro.
A memorial fund has been established with the church's music department.
