Pillars Banquet to be held Nov. 6

Bethesda Home of Goessel will host its 16th annual Pillars Banquet at 6 p.m. Nov. 6 at Cross Wind Conference Center near Hesston. All proceeds from the benefit meal/program go to reduce the bond indebtedness of the 1988 facility expansion that currently serves 57 nursing care and 10 assisted living residents.

Entertainment will feature Ron Willis, nationally known entertainer and inspirational speaker from Jewel. Willis weaves personal anecdotes, poems, and pictures into the hearts of his audience to impart important life principles that impact lives. As he travels through the U.S., he tailors each presentation to meet current life issues and concerns affecting his audience.

All ages are invited and reservations must be made before Oct. 26 by calling Bethesda administrative office (620) 367-2291.

Contributions of $125 per person may be mailed to Bethesda Home, P.O. Box 37, Goessel, KS 67053 or brought to Bethesda Home administration office at 408 E. Main.

GJHS sports news

The Goessel Junior High boys kept their football record unblemished with a 42-0 win over Little River. The Goessel varsity volleyball team lost to the Little River Junior High in two games, but the "B-team" defeated Little River in two games.
