Planning survey for older Kansans due back Feb. 15 years ago

If you're 60 years or older, did you recently receive a survey of 24 questions about your aging needs? And have you sent back the questionnaire yet?

The survey, sent to older Kansans living in the 18 counties served by the North Central-Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging headquartered in Manhattan, is designed to help identify unmet needs of seniors in our 18 counties. It was published on the back page of the January/February issue of Keynotes, the agency's newsletter.

Copies of the survey also are available at most senior centers, or you can call the agency at 1-800-432-2703 for a copy. Responses will be tabulated and reviewed to help the agency develop its service plan for the nest two years, including advocacy priorities.

Senior surveys of this type were conducted in 1997, 2000, and 2003. No name or signature is required — only the county where you live. You can leave completed surveys at local senior centers or mail it to the agency at Keynotes, 401 Houston St., Manhattan, KS, 66502. Due date is Feb. 15.

Customers already receiving Area Agency supported services — such as those at senior meal centers or receiving in-home services — will also be invited to complete a survey. However, all seniors in the region are encouraged to complete a survey whether or not you receive senior services.
