Police investigate vehicle accidents

Officer David Funk investigated a traffic accident Sept. 10 at Adams and D Street. Troy Frick of Durham, driving a 1979 Chevrolet Impala, was eastbound on D Street and turned north onto Adams. Kylee Gustafson of Hillsboro, driving a 1986 Chevrolet Spectrum, was backing out of a drive on Adams and struck the Frick vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Anissa Reissig of Hillsboro reported that between the dates of Aug. 30 and Sept. 9 her 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix was keyed while parked in the street in front of 214 S. Jefferson. The damage is estimated at $1,150. Officer Jessey Hiebert investigated the incident.

On Sept. 9, Joshua Kenny of Hillsboro, driving a 1988 Ford Ranger pickup, was westbound on A Street when his vehicle struck a 1992 Ford Aerostar head on and side swiped it. Kenny did not see the van because the sun was in his eyes. Robert Summers of Hillsboro is the owner of the van. No injuries were reported. Officer Brad Richards was the reporting officer.

Robert Herzet of Hillsboro reported Sept. 5 that unknown suspect(s) broke the driver's side mirror and driver's side window out of his vehicle. Estimated damage is $225. Chad Funk was investigating officer.
