Police report one accident last week
On Nov. 14, Hillsboro Police Officer Chad Funk found a vehicle that was parked illegally in the middle of the 500 block of Birch Street. Alcohol was found in the vehicle,and the owner of the vehicle was discovered to have been drinking alcohol. Charges of consumption of alcohol by a minor are pending against an 18-year-old Hillsboro man.
On Nov. 11, Officer Jessey Hiebert investigated a traffic accident on Grand Avenue. Alvin Neufeld of Hillsboro, driving a 1998 Ford Taurus, was eastbound on Grand. Chad A. Hughbanks of Lehigh, driving a 1998 Dodge Dakota pickup, was backing to the north in order to head west. Hughbanks hit the passenger front quarter panel of the Neufeld vehicle with his car's passenger back bumper. No injuries were reported.
