Post 366 to play in district tournament at Marion years ago
Hillsboro American Legion Post 366 will head to Marion Friday to play in the 16-18-year-old Babe Ruth District 4 tournament.
Head coach Tim Hein has led his group of players to a record of 20-1, and a confidence not matched by any team in the tournament. Hillsboro has easily defeated all three other squads in the tournament earlier in the season.
Two victories for Hillsboro will catapult the team to the state tournament next weekend at Garden City.
First pitch for Hillsboro's game against the Salina Indians will be at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
A victory there gives them a spot in the semi-final game at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
The championship will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday night.
