Randolf Flaming

Randolf P. Flaming, 78, died March 8, 2007, at Bethesda Home, Goessel.

Born Nov. 13, 1928, at Goessel, he was the son of John and Marie (Pankratz) Flaming. He was a dairy and crop farmer.

On May 2, 1950, he married Laura Schmidt at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church, Goessel.

He was preceded in death by a son, Warren; and two brothers, Vernon and Frances. Survivors include his wife, Laura of Goessel; three children and their spouses, Ron and Patrice Flaming of Akron, Pa., Dwight and Tammy Flaming of Goessel, and Charlotte and Brian Warkentine of Chandler, Okla.; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Flaming of Hesston; sister, Marilyn Schmidt; brother, Melvin Flaming; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service was held Monday morning at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church, rural Goessel, with Pastors Lee Suderman and Linda Ewert officiating.

Burial was in Alexanderwohl Mennonite Cemetery.

Memorial funds have been established with Agri-Urban or Mennonite Central Committee.
