Ransom, Wiebe conducts meetings

Guests for Sunday dinner in the Bruce Dirks home were Henry Redger, Ruston and Lydia Dirks, and Melvin and Vera Dirks.
Ransom Wiebe conducted meetings at the Lone Tree Church near Galva on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings and on Sunday. Lillian accompanied him on Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Their Friday overnight guests were Lavern and Janet Nightingale, Columbia, Mo., and Les Jantz, Scotia, Neb.
The Morning Star Church hosted meetings Friday evening and Saturday concerning using tracts and distribution. Guests came from Missouri, Nebraska, the Dakotas, and other Mid-west states.
On Thursday evening Wendell and Linda Wedel went to join the rest of the Mayeskea family at Independence Park. They helped celebrate the birthday of Linda's sister, Barbara Schultz.
Sunday evening, the Ron Unruh family got together at the Jim Enns' home to celebrate August and September birthdays. Honored guests and their birthdays were David Enns, Aug. 3; Ashley Enns, Aug. 20; Matthew Hiebert, Aug. 18; and Darren Enns, Sept. 2. All 20 family members were able to be present. The Jim Ennses and Lon Hieberts were hosts and supper was enjoyed together.
Monday evening the Harry Wedel family got together for a picnic at the Brenton Place.
Ken and Sandy Wiebe hosted the annual Labor Day Isaac Wiebe family breakfast cookout at their home Monday. A few other guests besides the Wiebe family were also present.
Doug Smith, Versailles, Mo., was a weekend guest in the Harry Rhodes home.
Monday, Wendell and Linda Wedel, Travis and Connie Becker, and Greg and Charlene Wedel and Caden went to Wichita to have a family get-together and enjoyed eating out at a restaurant there.
Friday, Violet Schneider, Betty Wiebe's sister, came along with the Steve Schmidts, Walker, Mo., and all were weekend guests in the Clayton Wiebe home. On Sunday, dinner guests in the Wiebe home were Mr. and Mrs. Michael Decker, Cole Camp, Mo., Jerald and Rhonda Koehn and family, Stuart and Lea Isaac and family, and Wayne and Loralee Wiebe and Ross.
Marcella Unruh visited at the Gene Unruh home on Monday. She especially went to see her granddaughter Ashley who was home for the weekend from K.U.
Heath and Mindy Buster of Aurora, Colo., were Friday and Saturday overnight guess in the home of Richard and Kathy Dirks. Friday evening, Shon and Kim Buster and twins of Galva and Doug and Colleen Weinbrenner, Tyler, Audrey, and Candace joined them for a barbecue supper. On Labor Day, Richard and Kathy took their '31 Model A Ford and drove it in the parade at Florence. In the afternoon, they entered the car in a car show and won second place.
