Rec commission to sponsor junior, munchkin tennis
The Hillsboro Recreation Commission is offering junior tennis for those students entering grades four through 12. Instructional classes will be June 10-13 at the Sports Complex tennis courts in Hillsboro.
The cost is $25.
Instructors are Lynn Wiebe and Michelle Faul.
The rec commission also will offer munchkin tennis from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. June 10-13 at the Sports Complex.
Nerf balls and specialized equipment will be used for the younger children. Emphasis of the program will be to learn the very basics of tennis. Fun games and relays will be played to help develop hand and eye coordination.
The fee is $20. Instructors are Lonnie Isaac and assistant instructors will be current players and coaches.
