Residents and staff are busy at LTC

"It's about time you came home," Dr. George said to me on my first visit to the senior center. And you know what, it has been just what the doctor ordered!
The last two and one-half months have been busy, fun, exciting, and at times a challenge. The residents, staff, and community have welcomed me back to my hometown.
September was filled with planning for fall, balloon launch, frying snickers bars — yes, I did say snickers bars — and time outdoors. October kept us busy with more fall crafts, rides to see the fall harvest, birthday party with the FCCLA, sing alongs, and cute trick or treaters from the community and a local daycare.
November started with a visit from Willie and Rodi Longnecker who shared their gospel music with us. We then had a trip to Newton where we ate at the Bread Basket and then toured the Kaufman Museum. Thanksgiving is just around the corner and we are looking forward to seeing our family and friends.
But as soon as they are out the door we will be "hanging the greens" in preparation for the Christmas season. Feel free to join us for a special occasion or just because. We are always looking for new friends and special things to do.
