The happy sounds of the Parkside rhythm band were heard Monday afternoon as the band played along with Vida Bartel on the piano as she played some of those old remembered songs we sang years ago.

Kaethe Warkentin, Dave Classen, and Fern Unruh were the winners of the domino games played Tuesday afternoon. The hot, fresh coffee and chocolate chip cookies were good refreshments for a rather cool, damp, cloudy day.

Pastor Roy Keller brought the Bible class lesson Wednesday afternoon from Proverbs. Pastor Roy encouraged us to "be an encourager." Vanilla ice cream was served after the class.

I haven't had pluma mousse since my mother mad made it. What is pluma mousse? My grandma made the best pluma mousse ever! Those were some of the comments heard at the October Pluma Mousse feed held Thursday afternoon. Residents remembered times in the past when they had enjoyed bowls of fresh warm pluma mousse made by a loving family member.

Friday, the afternoon bingo games were called by Maryann Unruh. Lillian Plett was the blackout winner. All payers received a banana for participating. The weekend quiz was delivered.

Theater popcorn was served Saturday afternoon, and the First Mennonite Church brought the Sunday afternoon service.
