Parkside residents participated in an afternoon of crafts. Residents made brightly colored sunflowers to decorate their doors.

Frank Peters and Dave Classen were the winners of the domino games played Tuesday afternoon. Refreshments were served.

David Fast brought the Bible class lesson Wednesday afternoon. Chocolate ice cream was served after the class.

Thursday Parkside's "Arts and Crafts" sausage grill was held. The staff helped grill the delicious Hillsboro Sausage and the great Parkside Kitchen produced an assortment of tasty side dishes. Residents enjoyed a delicious meal together and later watched a video of the arts and crafts fair taken in September of 2000.

Every Friday of this month is "Hat Day." Those wearing hats receive a treat. The afternoon bingo games were called by Maryann Unruh. All players received a banana for participating. Eva Tessman was the blackout winner. The weekend quiz was delivered.

Theater popped corn was served Saturday afternoon, and John Ratzlaff brought the Sunday afternoon service.
