Residents remember the Dust Bowl

Monday, Parkside residents gathered to watch the video "Surviving the Dust Bowl." Many residents remembered those years and spoke of the trials they faced.
Walter Meljo, Cora Meljo, and Erna Harms were the winners of the domino games played on Tuesday afternoon. Refreshments were served. The Gospel Messengers gave the evening program.
Bob Fenstermacher led the Bible class on Wednesday afternoon, speaking on First Chronicles. Vanilla ice cream was served after the class.
Thursday afternoon residents were treated to watermelon and crullers. Everyone enjoyed a time of visiting and sharing as we enjoyed the great watermelon and fresh warm crullers.
Friday's bingo games were called by Maryann Unruh. All players received a banana for participating. Walter Meljo was the blackout winner. The weekend quiz was delivered.
Theater popped corn was served Saturday afternoon and Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church brought the Sunday afternoon service.
