Rhodes family welcome arrival of son Terrell Dean

Congratulations to Darrin and Meri Kay Rhodes on the arrival of their son, Terrell Dean, born on Sept. 9, 2003. He weighed 6 pounds 13 ounces. He has a brother, Darcy, 15 months, to welcome him. Harry and Sheryle Rhodes and Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Unruh of Galva are the grandparents. The local great-grandparents are Harry and Lela Wedel.
Last Sunday dinner guests of Ransom and Lillian Wiebe were Stuart and Lea Isaac and family, Merlin and Karletta Wiebe and family, and Tim and Sheila Koehn.
Verna Decker is back home after spending several weeks with her daughter-in-law, Delphi Tiesen, in Montana. Delphi brought her back and will spend some time here. On their way to Kansas, they stopped in Wray, Colo., to visit another daughter-in-law.
Sunday, Mark and Kris Wiebe and family were Sunday dinner guests of Lisa Redger together with their mother, Sharon Redger, of Montezuma.
Sunday afternoon visitors of Harry and Lela Wedel were Darrel and Donita Rhodes.
Duane and Louise Ratzlaff invited Clayton and Betty Wiebe, the Terry Hiebert family and the Larry Koehn family to be their Sunday dinner guests.
Guests in the home of Harry and Sheryle Rhodes for Sunday dinner were Greg and Charlene Wedel, Troy and Marla Wiebe and family.
Going to the house of Bruce and Cheryl Dirks to be their Sunday dinner guests were Lloyd and Elizabeth Koehn of Moundridge, Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Helen Wiebe, and Amanda Wedel both from the manor and Abe and Louise Ensz of Hillsboro. Ken and Sandy Wiebe went to get Helen and Amanda who are always happy and appreciate it when they can come out to their home church to see and visit friends and neighbors.
Marcella Unruh spent Saturday with the Gene Unruh family and was their overnight guest. Saturday, they went to visit Debbi Unruh who was a surgical patient at Salina Regional Medical Center. Marcella attended church with the Gene Unruhs and spent some more time with the Gerald Unruhs as Debbie came home Sunday afternoon.
The Gene Redger family all went to Salina on Sunday to have dinner at the Coyote Canyon restaurant. This was in honor of Gene's birthday.
The Ron Unruhs, the Mark Unruhs, and the Warren Unruhs have spent different times this past week visiting Brenda Enns at Newton Medical Center where she was a surgical patient.

Friday evening the Moundridge Manor hosted a family picnic for residents and their families. Going from here were Wendell and Linda Wedel, Roy and Nadine Davis, to be with their mother Amanda Wedel, and Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Richard and Charlotte Wiebe, Clayton and Betty Wiebe, Ken and Sandy Wiebe with their mother Helen Wiebe, and board member Harry and Sheryle Rhodes.
Raymond and Ethelene Unruh of Brooksville, Miss., spent the weekend with their daughter and family, Michelene and Mike and Madison. On Sunday they were dinner guests of Harry and Sheryle Rhodes. Additional dinner guests were Harry and Lela Wedel and Duane and Louise Ratzlaff and Rayletta.
Lola Redger, Darlene Unruh, and Verla Redger had Sunday dinner in Abilene after which they visited God's Garden south of Solomon. It is a beautiful garden of flowers especially roses which were still blooming beautifully.
On Thursday Dora Unruh went to Goessel to attend a school reunion of the South Bloomfield School which was a one-room school which closed in 1954. That's where Dora and her brothers and sisters attended school. In the early 1900s her father also attended there.
Ken and Sandy Wiebe invited Clayton and Betty Wiebe, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Koehn of Hiawatha, Ken and Shelly Giesbrecht and Taylor, Amy Koehn, Denise Entz, and Lydia Toews to be their Sunday dinner guests.
On Saturday Larry and Wanda Koehn, Denise and Titus went to Montezuma and took Martha Unruh from Bethel Home to the home of Richard and Starla Harms for a birthday dinner in honor of their mother Martha. Other dinner guests were Dalton and Lorna Wiebe, Travis and Sharon Koehn and family, and the Warren Unruhs from Lehigh.
On Saturday Marcella Unruh together with the Gene Unruh family, Gerald Unruhs and Galen Unruh went to spend the day sightseeing in the Minden and Hastings, Neb., area. Sunday Marcella was a dinner guest of Bob and Priscilla Unruh.
