Rhodes, Koehn marry Sept. 7

Congratulations to the young couple that got married Sunday morning at the Morning Star Church. They are Tammi Rhodes, daughter of Darrel and Donita Rhodes, and Scott Koehn, son of Harlan and Sheri Koehn.
On Monday, Ransom and Lillian Wiebe attended the memorial service for her cousin's daughter, Vonalee Koehn, 29, at the Gospel Church in Moundridge.
Shawna Stutzman of Pennsylvania, niece of Barb Unruh, spent the weekend at the home of the Unruhs. She had spent the week in orientation for MCC at Camp Mennoscah. She left by plane Sunday morning for a year of volunteer service in Chicago, Ill. Another niece, Amy Stutzman, who is a student at Hesston College, from Idaho was also a guest of the Unruhs during the weekend.
Don and Heather Woods and family now from Moundridge gave a mission report on Burkina Faso on Sunday evening at the Morning Star Church. After the service, they and the Ron Klassens of Moundridge and the Orlin Ensz family of Hillsboro were guests for refreshments in the home of Bruce and Cheryl Dirks. The Woods family will return to Burkina Faso, Africa, in December for another term of mission work.
Ken and Sandy Wiebe and Teresa, Doyle and Kara Wiebe and family, and Lisa Redger had a picnic supper together Thursday evening at the Maxwell Game Reserve near Canton.
The Roy Davis family took a short vacation over the Labor Day weekend. They went to visit friends at Cyrus, Minn., where Rhonda taught school last year. Then on Monday, they attended the Western Minnesota Steam Threshing reunion at Rollag, Minn.
Marcella Unruh celebrated her birthday Saturday and Sunday with family members. Some were guests on Saturday, and all children were present Sunday for a late afternoon barbecue. Don and Marlene Sattlefield came Saturday evening and were overnight guests.
Sara Schmidt from Manitoba, Canada, who taught school at the Cottonwood Grove School last year, came Wednesday for the Tammi Rhodes and Scott Koehn wedding. She was the bridesmaid at the wedding. During her time here, she was a house guest of Brad and Joyce Dirks. She returned home by plane early Tuesday morning.
