Orin and Rosalena Koehn and family, New Plymouth, Idaho, and Joseph and Brenda Johnson and family, Fawnsdale, Ala., have been visiting at the home of their parents, the Richard Wiebes, this past week. On Friday morning, the Wiebes and their houseguests were guests for brunch at the home of Clayton and Betty Wiebe. Sharon Koehn and family were additional guests.
On Saturday, Roy and Nadine Davis helped Roy's parents, Gerald and Eva Davis, move to Grand Oaks apartments in Hillsboro.
Supper guests of Mark and Barb Unruh were her niece Amy Stutzman and friend Philip Kaufman from Hesston College.
Sunday guests for dinner in the home of the Clayton Wiebes were Calvin and Janene Wiebe and family. They celebrate the twin's, Dallas and Dayna, third birthday which was Nov. 13.
Sunday, the Harry Decker family got together for a pre-Thanksgiving dinner at the Cooper School, Newton. It was hosted by the Gene and Jaraine Redger family and Earl and Sharon Decker family. They had a good attendance. Kris Decker from South Carolina was home for a week to take care of some of his father's business and was also able to be present.
Bruce and Cheryl Dirks had Rustyn and Lydia Dirks and Melvin and Vera Dirks as their Sunday dinner guests.
The Central Heights Mennonite Church which was the former Friedenstal Church is no history as on Saturday a public auction was conducted by Schmidt Auction Services. There was a fairly good crowd in attendance from the community, friends, former members, and neighbors. The material things were all disposed of but the good and fond memories we have will stay with us. And so ends another era.
Lou and Deb Hiebert and Matthew, who came for the sale Saturday, were supper guests of the Ron Unruhs.
