Ron Unruhs to celebrate 50th wedding anniversary years ago
Ron and Dora Unruh celebrated 50 years of marriage on June 1. They observed their anniversary in early spring with a trip to Hawaii. Their children will host a dinner Sunday for family and close friends.
Ronald Unruh and Dora Duerksen were married June 1, 1955, at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church at Goessel. They have lived on a farm northwest of Durham since their marriage. She also is employed by USD 410 at the high school and middle school cafeteria.
Their children are Brenda and Jim Enns, Hillsboro; Deb and Lon Hiebert, Peabody; Mark and Barb Unruh, Durham; and Warren and Anita Unruh, Tampa. They have nine grandchildren.
