Neva Fast joined a group from Tabor College that went to New Orleans for two weeks to help with Hurricane Katrina cleanup. They went under the supervision of Franklin Graham's Samaritan's Purse.

Tim and Donna Diener were Saturday evening supper guests at the home of the Glen Dieners. They celebrated Sarah's sixth birthday.

Pearl Koch visited Monday evening at the Paul Pankratz home.

Duane and Shirley Hamm, Wilbur and Florence Hett, and Delbert and Carolyn Hamm attended funeral services Tuesday for their great-niece, Kylie Hamm of Welles at the Minneapolis First United Methodist Church. Kylie is the daughter of Tim and Anita Hamm and the granddaughter of Marvin and Joyce Hamm of Welles.

Mary Helen Becker hosted a Wednesday morning brunch for the Durham Home Circle Club. Those present were Jean Oblander, Dorene Joy, Joyce Medley, Valera Hamm, Muriel Christiansen, and Geraldine Frick.

Virgil and Jean Oblander visited Laura Chestnut of Canton Tuesday at the hospital in Salina.
