George and Lucille Lancaster and Kristy Kouhlman from Kansas City and Don and Marilyn Kouhlman from St. Louis were in the Hillsboro area over the weekend. They came to attend the bridal shower for Liz Lancaster and her fiancée Kevin Kouhlman both from St. Louis. Liz is the daughter of Dave and Mary Lancaster of Hillsboro. The shower was hosted by the Durham Baptist Kings Daughters. Eleanor Herbel, Mildred Hamm, Pearl Koch, Shirley Hamm and Arlene Pankratz were hostesses.

Duane and Shirley Hamm spent Thursday and Friday with Shirley's sister, Norma Ballard, in Topeka.

Recent Sunday dinner guests at the Orville Suderman's were Mr. and Mrs. Marion Krehbiel from Pretty Prairie, Elaine Suderman from Goessel, Grace Regier of Walton and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Meisinger of Marion.

Leonard and Hazel Hein hosted a birthday dinner on Sunday for five family members who had recent birthdays. Family there were Kevin and Vickie Hein, Andrew and John of Durham; Todd and Jayleen Hein of Tampa; Tony and Brandi Hein and Henry from Baldwin City and Monica Hein from Newton. They celebrated the birthdays of Hazel, Henry, Monica, Todd and Andrew.

Wednesday dinner guests at the Paul Pankratzes' were Dorothy and Elmer Seibel and Luella and Jay Burkhart all of Newton.

Judy Heibert and Pearl Koch attended a bridal shower for Ashley Hiebert in McPherson on Sunday afternoon at the home of Donella Zink.

Pearl Koch and Luella Bartel of Marion had lunch in Ramona on Monday and then visited Martha Ehrhart.

Gary Steinle and his fiancée, Bonnie Goering, of Wichita visited with Pearl Koch late Sunday afternoon. On the following Saturday Pearl attended their wedding at the new Gottland Church near McPherson.
