Doug, Pam, and Kelsey Bartel were recent visitors at the home of Ryan and Tonya Bartel and Eva at Olathe. They celebrated the second birthday of their granddaughter, Eva. Kyle Bartel of Manhattan and Erin Bartel of Mission were among other guests.
The Southwestern Baptist Women's Retreat was held at Crosswinds Conference Center, Hesston. Guest speaker was Kris Goertsen of Hutchinson. Hillsboro women who attended were Carol Ollenburger, Shirley Hamm, Kay Carlson, Arlene Pankratz, Edie Ollenburger, and Connie Wiens. Others from the Durham church were Joyce Duke of Marion, Eleanor Herbel, Jane Vajnar, and Kathy Dirks of Tampa, Ashley Sheridan of Lehigh, and Ruth Hamm and Dorene Joy of Durham.
Justin Hamm of Spring Hill spent his spring break with his grandparents, Duane and Shirley Hamm. Additional guests Sunday evening were Albert, Sarah, and Andrew Christensen of Wichita.
The congregation of the Alexanderwohl church had a hamburger fry Friday evening at the Scout House to honor their teachers at Hope Valley Christian School.
Mary Helen Becker of Hillsboro, Kent and Ginger Becker of Durham, and Todd and Laura Becker and Christian of Marion had Sunday dinner together.
Don and Connie Isaacs' grandsons, Asher, Reuven, and Judah Isaac of Wichita spent part of their spring break with them.
Lance and Christy Zimmerman and children of St. Joseph, Mo., spent the weekend at the Don Isaac home. They celebrated Aidan's fourth birthday while there.
Betty Medley's grandchildren, Jake, Abigail, and Brook Medley, children of Terry and Jenny Medley of Topeka, spent several days with Betty during their spring break from school.
Oliver and Marcella Mohn visited their grandchildren, Russel and Kara Haug at Park City Sunday afternoon.
Marilyn Bartel and her mother, Jean Beauchamp met Marilyn's brother, Mark Beauchamp and son, Jonathan of Kansas City in Salina Saturday. Mark had been in Hays working with the Special Olympics basketball tournament.
