Jena Jones was the honored guest at a bridal shower on Sunday afternoon at the home of Shawn Strunk of rural Hillsboro with Ruth Meisinger as co-hostess. Guests were family and friends.
Rosemary Souva of Lincoln, Calif., spent three weeks with her mother, Marguerite Goertz. She returned to her home in California on Friday.
Georgia Spohn from Tampa visited with Marguerite on Tuesday.
Bob and Karen Haug and family from Jetmore spent several days with their parents, Oliver and Marcella Mohn. Their school had spring break.
Betty Medley spent the weekend with Chris and Denise Kostelac and family at Shawnee.
Dave and Shirley Weibert recently spent a week visiting friends at Hays. On Sunday, Dave and Shirley attended funeral services for Dave's cousin, Arthur Rauh, at Fairview, Okla. They also visited Derwood and Betty Long at Fairview.
Warren Weibert from Manhattan visited the Weiberts on Monday.
Last weekend, Verden and Pauline Harms spent the weekend with their family in Kansas City, and Verden attended the KU basketball game at Kemper area with part of the family.
This weekend, they helped their grandchildren, Megan and Gordon Smith, celebrate their birthdays. Megan is six, and Gordon is three. They live in Kansas City.
Herb, Trudy, and Andrew Pankratz of Abilene visited at the Paul Pankratzes on Wednesday. Wednesday evening, the Tim Diener family were supper guests at the Pankratzes. Emily was home from K-State on spring break for the week.
