Duane and Shirley Hamm spent the weekend with the Albert Christensen family in Wichita. On Saturday evening and Sunday, they attended their granddaughter's, Sarah, first confirmation at the Holy Cross Church.
Weekend guests at the Clint Bettles home were Kelly's mother, Patsy Austin, and her sister, Donna Lewallen, from Bucklin and her brother and family, Brian and Jackie Austin and Keith, from Zenda.
Jeryl Mohn from Sugarland, Texas, spent from Saturday evening to Tuesday morning with his parents, Oliver and Marcella Mohn. Visitors at the Mohns while Jeryl was there were Gordon and Vicky Mohn of Hillsboro, Gus and Mildred Hamm of Tampa, and Paul and Arlene Pankratz of Hillsboro.
On Sunday, the Mohn family enjoyed a dinner in Hutchinson to celebrate Oliver and Marcella's wedding anniversary. Family present were Oliver and Marcella, Jeryl Mohn, Gordon and Vicky Mohn, Bob and Karen Haug, Tiffany, Russel and Ryan from Jetmore, and Kara Bartell from Hesston.
Levi and Georgia Brown from Tennessee have been visiting in the Hillsboro area and were house guests of Ella Dick. On Wednesday evening, family and friends had a surprise birthday party for Georgia's 80th birthday at the senior center. Her biggest surprise was that her daughter, Joan Tahu, and two granddaughters from California flew in for the birthday party.
Guests who called at the Wilbur Hannemans during the weekend were Frank and Elaine Nelson, Brian and Mark from Overland Park, Gloria Hanneman, Delbert and Becky Hanneman and Audrey Hanneman, all from Wichita, and Kerry and Rachel Hein and Malorie of rural Hillsboro.
Edie Ollenburger and Betty Meier were honored guests at a birthday breakfast on Saturday morning. Others there were Pearl Koch, Carol Ollenburger, Jane Miller, Virginia Fadenrecht, Arlene Pankratz, Marcella Mohn, Shirley Hamm, Frances Unruh, Doris David, Sheila Nuss, and Lois Nuss.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Seibel from Newton visited with Clarence Seibel at Salem Home and at the Paul Pankratzes Saturday afternoon
