Duane and Shirley Hamm, the Myron Hamm family, and the Tim Goossen family, all of Hillsboro, were among other family who attended worship services May 23 at the First Baptist Church in McPherson. Duane and Shirley's grandson, Dylan Thiessen, was one of the baptismal candidates. Dylan is the son of Greg and Charlene Friesen. After the church service, the family had dinner together at the church.
Norma Ballard was a Memorial Day weekend guest at the Duane Hamms. On Thursday evening, Shirley and Norma attended eighth grade promotion for the Hamms' granddaughter, Sarah Christensen, at the Holy Cross School in Wichita.
Duane and Shirley and Norma attended Norma and Shirley's high school reunion May 30 at Hazelton.
Sunday dinner guests at the Wayne Ollenburgers were Elma Klein, Hannah Ollenburger, Dean and Edie Ollenburger, Verden and Pauline Harms, and Gerald, Neil, and Jessie Ollenburger.
Wilbur and Florence Hett of Hillsboro and Von and Norma Pschigoda from Hope attended the high school graduation for the Hetts' granddaughter, Alexa Riffel, from Phillipsburg School on Sunday.
Leonard and Hazel Hein attended the graduation ceremony of their grandson, Andrew Hein from Hutchinson Community College. They attended on May 16 the graduation for Tony Hein, who received a master's degree in education from Baker University in Baldwin City. Tony and Andrew are sons of the Kevin Heins.
Wilbur and Mildred Hanneman attended the graduation reception May 23 for Mollie Frederick from Wichita Heights High School at the home of Delbert and Becky Hanneman in Wichita.
Guests at the Hanneman's on May 29 were Frank and Elaine Nelson form Kansas City, Gloria Hanneman and Delbert and Becky Hanneman from Wichita, and Kerry and Rachel Hein and Malorie from Hillsboro.
